We have also drafted critical agreements for the development of payment platforms and fintech products – notably in relation to our work with Nedbank and the Karri App, among others.
For Transnet, we have drafted MSAs for outsourcing network services; the outsourcing of IT data services and infrastructure; the outsourcing of End-User Computing Devices; and the procurement of hardware and software for Transnet.
HNM represented and advised a Fund Manager in Private Equity in relation to its investment in a fintech company based in South Africa, Mauritius and the USA. We have further advised a leading private healthcare company on a wide range of IT agreements, including software development and licensing agreements for the creation and implementation of healthcare payment platforms.
Our public sector experience includes advising the Department of Communications and Digital Technologies (DOC) on various aspects of ICT law.
This has included evaluating applications for accreditation for the provision of authentication services and products in terms of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act of 2002 (ECTA) for the South African Accreditation Authority (SAAA).
In the broadcasting space, we have advised on the Broadcast Digital Migration Policy and various other issues related to broadcasting and the Electronic Communications Act of 2005 (ECA).
